Govt Higher Primary School. Chikkadasarahalli

We felt it is better to go to villages which are neglected by every body and accordingly on the request of Ms.Manjula CR Trust facilitator we selected Chikkanahalli Panchayat area in general and Chikkadasarahally in particular for village project.

We had interactions with Govt Higher Primary School Chikkadasarahalli, Chikkanahalli, Sira Taluk, Tumakuru District (572125) which was in the neighbourhood of our facilitator and we had contacts with local panchayat leaders who could oversee the proper use of funds. In any case since we ere delivering books, pencils, pens and geometry boxes which is just adequate for one year only.

Mr.P.M.Prabhu Managing Trustee and Ms.Manjula CR Trust facilitator made personal visit to ascertain the requirements of note books and procurred them from Bangalore market after obtaining competitive bids.

On 2nd June note books were distributed to 34 girl students from 1st standard to 7th standard of Govt Higher Primary School Chikkadasarahalli and on 5th June note books were distributed to 27 boy students from 1st standard to 7th standard of the same school .

In other words Govt Higher Primary School Chikkadasarahalli Chikkanahalli Sira (572125) Tumakuru Madhugiri (Karnataka) co-education got the benefit of books for 27 boys and 34 girls from 1st standard to 7th standard total numbers being 61 childrens.

Mr.P.M.Prabhu Trustee was invited by children to have lunch with them and accordingly we had lunch with them.

Mr.P.M.Prabhu Trustee also gave a talk on how a good education can change the village life and all children must work hard to get best education possible. With good education even if one wants to do agriculture the same can be done more scientifically and yield can be drastically improved by modern technology.

This project has been successfully carried out during academic year 2023-24 by Jaya Madhava Trust. Some of the pleasant moments are shared by the way of photographs as follows:

After distribution of books to Govt Lower Primary School Mudimadu we came back to Govt Higher Primary School Chikkadasarahalli Chikkanahalli for handing over the books to 13 children who moved from Devarahalli Primary School to this Higher Primary School on promotion from 5th standard to 6th standard. This group of children consisted of 5 boys and 8 girls together 13 childrens.

After distribution of books Mr.P.M.Prabhu Trustee address 7th standard children encouraging then to study for National Means cum Merit Scholarship which would be held in the November month for 8th standard children.

We intend to cover more schools in the near future as and when we find more donors. Each book costs Rs.50.00 and about 20 note books are required along with a set of pencils, pens and geometry box. Together the cost comes to about Rs.1,0000.00. Since we are working on the concept of direct donor-recipient interaction, considering cost of travel etc., we wish donor to take up at least one school for one year.
