Sports kit-Chikkadasarahalli

Physical and mental sports activity is very important for growing children for overall improvement of physical and mental health. Since objective of our trust is vidya-pragathi which stands for overall progress of education, trust embarked on delivery of 4 sports kits for 4 schools. When we started the project of school library we wer e interacting with children to know what games they are playing in the school and we came to know that they had no sports items to play indoor or outdoor games. We felt we should talk to donors to find out the possibilities of fund raising for this purpose. Sri Mysore Pratap and Smt. Prema Pratap through their volunteering organisation Rishipath.org came forward to sponsor more than 15 Government schools with school packages of which sports kit formed an integral part. With this kind of sponteneous support required JM Trust has found it lot more easier to meet the demands from village schools.

Sri Ramakrishna Pai from Mangalore gladly consented to donate sports kit to this school and accordingly came from Mangalore to donate the sports item to the school on 26th January 2024 coinciding with Republic day celebration. The sports kit consisted of chess board, volley ball net, volleyball, foot ball, badminton rackets, shuttle cocks, rings, skipping ropes, cricket wicket, bat and tennis ball to start with. For children to study well and keep good health, build stemina it is important to play outdoor games. Today the houses are small both in the city and village. The family sizes are also small. Hence children have to necessarily play in their school only. In view of this our Trust felt we must provide the Government schools sports kit for them to play in the school.
